So many women writers and fictional characters have helped to form me and other women. About seven years ago, I became part of two Jane Austen list serves, which led to participation in WomenWritersThroughtheAges, Eighteenth Century Worlds and the Trollope 19th century studies list. Through these lists, I've entered a rich world of cyber friends. Inevitably, this participation has led to my own blog, envisioned as primarily a place to discuss books and writers, male and female. Six years ago I moved with my family to Ohio. However, I was born in Baltimore and spent most of my life in the Baltimore/Washington corridor.
